Emballage Indrettning ApS is a Danish collective scheme which works to make producer responsibility understandable and easy to handle for all companies.

We turn complex rules into plain language and help you get it right — without unnecessary hassle.

Although we have a special focus on Packaging, we also help companies comply with manufacturer responsibilities in all relevant areas, including electronics, batteries, single-use plastics and fishing gear.

What does a collective scheme do?

A collective scheme is an approved organisation that carries out the statutory obligations of producers under producer responsibility. The collective scheme provides, inter alia, for:

Correct creation in the registry (DPA)

Compliance with legal requirements and documentation to authorities

Calculation and collection of fees

Ensuring proper sorting and recycling

Packaging producer responsibility

Collective scheme for Packaging

From 2025, responsibility for the collection and sorting of packaging waste will pass from the municipalities to the collective schemes that handle the task on behalf of the companies.

This means that companies will in future have to pay fees based on the quantities of packaging they make available — because it is no longer the citizens who pay for the handling through the property tax.
