When you report packaging data, the process depends on whether your company has over or under 8,000 kg of packaging annually. Here you get an overview of how the reporting takes place — both with us and in cooperation with DPA.
Once a year, a comprehensive report must be made to the DPA. The reporting is handled through us, and we try to automatically aggregate your ongoing data for the annual report to make the task easier for you.
Ongoing reporting
Continuous reporting for +8,000 kg
If your company has over 8,000 kg of packaging per year, you must report packaging data on a monthly basis. In the video we show you how to do it through the member portal.
It is reported once a month — retrospectively.
Data becomes available on the 1st of the month and must be reported no later than the 20th.
For example: Reporting for October takes place from 1 to 20 November.
If your company has less than 8,000 kg of packaging per year, you must report packaging data on a quarterly basis. Below you can see how the process works in practice.
It is reported once a quarter — retrospectively.
Data will become available on the 1st of a new quarter and must be reported no later than the 20th.
E.g.: Reporting for October-December takes place January 1—20.

Annual reporting
In addition to continuous reporting, you must report packaging data to the DPA once a year. Reporting is done backwards — just like your accounting — and we help you by aggregating your monthly data to make the task as simple as possible.
Reported once a year — retrospectively
The alert opens January 1 and has a deadline of April 30
The report is made through the member portal and goes to the DPA/Environmental Protection Agency
One invoice will be issued by DPA and one by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency on the basis of your data — we will receive it on your behalf and forward it to you
The invoicing is based on the total number of kg and not the individual material categories
We automatically summarize your continuously reported data into an annual report. You always have the opportunity to correct and correct if there have been errors along the way.
FAQS
Packaging Data Reporting FAQs
Here you will find answers to the most common questions about reporting and paying for packaging data.
Why do I need to report packaging data?
The report ensures that we, as a collective scheme, can handle the waste management of the packaging your company puts on the market.
Why do I have to pay on an ongoing basis?
The ongoing contributions go to fund collection, sorting and recycling. At the same time, producer responsibility creates an economic incentive to reduce packaging volumes — the smaller the packaging, the lower the contribution.
What is the difference between regular and annual reporting?
Ongoing reporting is made to us, either monthly (+8,000 kg) or quarterly (less than 8,000 kg). The annual reporting is used for DPA and is based on the ongoing reports.
