Product categories for electronics

Electronics are split into seven categories. Your volumes are reported and eco-modulated according to the category the equipment belongs to, and for several of the categories it is the size of the equipment that decides which one.

Seven categories by type of equipment

From fridges and screens to bulbs, phones and solar panels. The category decides how the volume is reported and modulated.

Below you can see the categories and what they cover. If you are unsure where your equipment belongs, just ask us. It is quickly sorted out.

Anything with a plug, a cable or a battery. The category follows the type of equipment.

Category What it covers
Temperature exchange equipment Fridges, freezers and air conditioners.
Screens and monitors over 100 cm² TVs, computer monitors and tablets.
Lamps Bulbs, LEDs and fluorescent tubes.
Large equipment over 50 cm Washing machines, ovens and other large equipment.
Small equipment under 50 cm Tools, kitchen appliances and other small equipment.
Small IT and telecommunications equipment under 50 cm Phones, routers, modems and other IT and telecoms equipment.
Photovoltaic panels Panels that generate electricity from sunlight.
