When do you pay?
What you pay, and to whom
The price of extended producer responsibility for electronics consists of a registration fee and an annual operating fee to DPA (Dansk Producentansvar), plus membership and the environmental contribution with your PRO.
For electronics a PRO is voluntary, but the obligations are the same. Below we go through the payments one at a time, and at the bottom you will find our rates per category.
Registration with DPA
All producers must be registered in the Danish producer register (Producentregistret, at DPA) before the equipment is made available on the Danish market. DPA (Dansk Producentansvar) runs the register where your company is registered and where your volumes are reported.
The registration fee is paid once and goes directly to DPA. You pay DKK 1,000 to register including your first product area, and DKK 500 for each further area. We help you all the way through pre-registration, including the fiddly MitID approval.
The annual operating fee from DPA is calculated on the volume of electronics you reported for the previous year, and the annual report is due by 31 March. For small volumes you pay the minimum fee of DKK 250 per year.
